Apart from the mechanical designs, the script and the screenplay of the Hiroyuki Kitakubo (北久保 弘之) directed movie Roujin Z (老人Z), Katsuhiro Otomo also did the calligraphy of the movie title. Otomo's hand can be seen in the opening sequence of the movie drawing this characters.
