Pioneer has released today in japan a 2 disc limited edition of Katsuhiro Otomo's epic animation film AKIRA on DVD. The first disc that includes the film with a newly remastered 5.1 dts soundtrack is the same that comes in the standard single disc edition release. The second disc includes more than 4500 production still, including the complete storyboard of the film drawn by Otomo, and hundreds of backgrounds and character sheets as well as the original release trailers. This limited edition comes with a special sleep case with an illustration by Katsuhiro Otomo that was reprinted in the page 14 of the artbook KABA 2.
