It was the first story I ever wrote for Young magazine. My friend Takedera helped me out a great deal. The picture of the rose on the splash page was drawn by him, 'cos my frontispiece was a total failure. I tried redoing it several times, but couldn't get it to come out right. I seem to remember that he helped me without asking him, either...
