Katsuhiro Otomo collaborated with some concept designs from the episode 22 of the TV series SPACE DANDY (スペース☆ダンディ) released weekly by BANDAI visual in multiple internet platforms. Banda Visual has released the 9th DVD of the series in which this episode is collected.

SPACE DANDY has been released in Japan in Blu-ray and DVD in single discs packs containing three episodes each. The first season that aired between 2014-I-5 and 2014-III-30 consist of 13 episodes collected in 5 discs. The second season containing episodes 14 to 26 later that same year.

Bandai has released in DVD all the Hipirakun (ヒピラくん) episodes and a never before aired new episode number 13. Hipirakun is a TV animation series of five minute long episodes directed by Shinji Kimura (木村 真二) based on the tale illustrated by himself upon a original story by Katsuhiro Otomo that was published originally in NeNe (ねーねー) magazine between 2001 and 2002 and later collected in the book HIPIRA KUN (ヒピラくん) that is included in this DVD as a still gallery.

The last live action film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo MUSHISHI (蟲師) was released in a Special Edition DVD BOX that includes a bonus DVD with interviews and behind the scenes features, A booklet with the complete screenplay and a second booklet with the storyboard drawn by Otomo himself. This is the first live action movie directed by Katsuhiro Otomo since WORLD APARTMENT HORROR (ワールド・アパートメント・ホラー) in 1991. Mushishi is based on a manga with the same name by Yuki Urushibara (漆原 友紀) that was published in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine from 1999 to August 2008.
