Otomo's note from Anthology's postface

While I was writing Fireball, I had the sudden idea for doing a parody of it. It would have the same premise: Somewhere there would be this evil Director, and there would be a guerilla group in opposition... The bite would be, they would wander around the streets looking totally filthy... My inspiration came from my memories of the Hippy Movement of the early? 70's. Even the title comes from a popular rock musical from that era...
