The manga autobiography MA VIE EN 24 IMAGES PER SECONDE by director Rintaro (りんたろう) won the Grand Prize at the 29th OSAMU TEZUKA AWARD (手塚治虫文化賞), and Otomo who wrote the foreword for the book and is a long time friend and collaborator with him attended the presentation ceremony and commemorative event and signed the message board. Osamu tezuka's son, film director and animator Makoto Tezuka (手塚眞) who also is depicted in Rintaro's manga also attended the event.
