●ILLUSTRATION● JR KICHIYOJI 100th ANNIVERSAY CARD SET (JR 吉祥寺駅 100周年記念 カードセット)

KICHIJOJI ANIME WONDERLAND is a  festival created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Kichiyoji (吉祥寺駅) Railway Station. Various artist that live around Kichiyoji collaborated in a publication of a set of phone cards and a 14 page booklet. Katsuhiro Otomo drew a image of the station in the future. 

This illustration was used again in 2003 to promote the KICHIJOJI ANIME WONDERLAND 2003 (吉祥寺アニメワンダーランド 2003). The illustration is reprinted in the page 76 of the art book KABA 2.

Katsuhiro Otomo's selfportrait illustrates a phonecard that was given a gift during the promotion of the video release of his last live action film World Apartment Horror.
