I seem to remember that immedi­ately before I drew this story, my friend Kuromaru introduced me to Moebius for the first time. It was because I was influenced by his work that I wanted to write a story in full colour. I remember that after that for quite a while I used to paint in full colour, and I remember just how tough that was. It's difficult to match the paints with the paper. It would have been better if I'd used a paper better able to soak up the colouring. So, this is a tale of choosing the wrong materials...
