The Spanish publisher Camaleón Ediciones has released a book about Katsuhiro Otomo under the collection 'Los Libros de Neko'. The book covers Otomo's trajectory from his early manga works to his last animation projects, featuring multiple illustrations in black and white and color. It also includes an extensive interview re-edited from pieces of other interviews from various Japanese magazines and Q&A session of the 'Saló del Comic de Barcelona' he atended in 1993.

This book covers widely the process of making SPRIGGAN (スプリガン) the animation directed by Hirotsugu Kawasaki (川崎博嗣) that was released on september 5th in Japanese theaters. Katsuhiro Otomo was in charge of the Screen Story Structure and the design of Noah's Ark featured in the film. The movie is based on a homonym manga written by Hiroshi Takashige (たかしげ 宙) and illustrated by Ryōji Minagawa (皆川 亮二) that was published by SHOGAKUKAN (小学館) in Japan from 1989 to 1996. The film promotional poster was illustrated by Otomo himself and this illustration is included in this book as a first page foldout with Otomo's signature and self-portrait in red.
