Katsuhiro Otomo was awarded by the French Government with the "Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters). Renaud Donnedieu gave the speech in which he enphasised the intensity of his artistic commitment, the intrepid splendor and the particular beauty of his creations.
